Boudoir Prep Guide
Your boudoir session is about celebrating YOU. I know it can feel a little nerve-wracking to step in front of the camera, but trust me, you’re going to walk out feeling confident, gorgeous, and empowered.
This guide will help you prepare so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

What to Bring:
Outfits: Bring 2–3 outfits you love. If you don't like the way it fits at home, chances are you won't love it in photos.
Lingerie, bodysuits, robes, your favorite oversized sweater, whatever makes you feel good. You can raid the client closet when you get here but bring those couple outfits you know you love and fit well. The first place to look for outfits is... your closet! We all have those outfits we wore once and never put on again.
If you want to purchase something new here are some great sites to order from:

Accessories: Jewelry, heels, thigh-highs, even your partner’s shirt or jersey.
Personal Touches: Anything meaningful. Maybe a necklace, perfume bottle, or book.
Extras: Nude/black seamless underwear/thong to wear under any client closet outfits. Some outfits are sheer so if that's not your vibe just bring a strapless bra or pasties to wear underneath.

Skin & Body Prep:
Moisturize well (especially elbows, knees, and legs).
Avoid spray tans or new tanning methods right before. Natural skin photographs best.
If shaving or waxing, do so at least 24–48 hours before to avoid irritation if you're prone to it.
Keep nails tidy: neutral tones, French tips, or bold colors work beautifully. Remember those toes too!
The morning of your session avoid tight clothing that leaves marks on your skin (including socks).

Hair & Makeup:
I believe boudoir should capture YOU the way you feel most confident. Most of my clients now prefer a more natural look so they "look like themselves" in the photos, others come fully glammed up. It’s totally your call! Whether you go full glam or keep it simple, the most important thing is that you feel beautiful and comfortable.
Tips:
Wash and dry hair the night before. Style in loose waves or however you love it. We'll be putting hands in hair a lot so keep that in mind.
Bring a brush and hairspray if you want touch-ups.
Keep makeup how you’d normally wear it, just a bit more than everyday. Mascara and lipstick go a long way.

Pro Tips:
Stay hydrated the day before.
Get a good night’s rest.
Eat something light before your shoot, you’ll need the energy!
Most importantly: Relax and have fun. This is all about celebrating YOU.
